Accreditation

The Insurance, Financial and Actuarial Analysis (IFAA) programme under the CUHK Business School is recognised by the Society of Actuaries in the US as the Center of Actuarial Excellence.

This is the highest award bestowed upon an actuarial programme, and so far only 38 world-renowned universities worldwide have received such recognition. Our programme has excelled in a wide range of areas, including curriculum design, teachers’ professional qualification, connection with the insurance industry and graduates’ prospects. CUHK is among the first batch of Asian universities to receive this honor.

The Chinese University of Hong Kong is a participant in the inaugural group of 14 universities recognized by the Society of Actuaries for the University-Earned Credit (UEC) programme in August 2023. IFAA students taking approved courses will be eligible for specific SOA exam credit after obtaining the required score.
